I grew up in rural Saskatchewan on a mixed grain, cow/calf farm. Following high school, I attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a degree in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science. From there, I continued my education at the U of S and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.
I have been practicing veterinary medicine in Southern Alberta since graduation and was excited to start my own ambulatory practice in the fall of 2012. In our family, we have two cats and a dog. Mozart is my six toed cat and he has been with me since vet school. Casper is more of a laid back cat whom most people have not met because he hides whenever we have company. Cammo is our dog and she keeps us very busy with fetch at any time of the day.
My husband Scott Besse and I have known each other since high school but reconnected after we both realized we were working in Southern Alberta. We just had our dream mountain wedding in the spring of 2013!
My goal is to provide quality and compassionate veterinary care to all animals. I will do my very best to ensure we work together to make the best decisions for both you and your animals.
